PADDLE AND DABBLE WITH BUSH CRAFT



This year we have partnered up with our good friend, Mark Burr, from Wild Times Woodland Adventures. Our Paddle and Dabble with bush craft experiences aims to teach you the basics of canoeing and bush craft in a fun and safe learning environment.


Our paddle and dabble day brings the world of canoeing and bush craft together. This experience is aimed at parents and children that are looking to create memories and get back to basics away from the daily grind.

Date:

  • Saturday 30th September 2023

On the day you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn traditional fire-starting techniques

  • Learn the art of canoeing

  • Set up tarp and canoe shelters

  • Have fun whittling and carving (under the supervision of qualified staff)

  •  Create memories

This day is designed for making memories and having some family fun. If you are looking for more bespoke training in either paddle sports or bush craft, please contact River Medway Canoes or Wild Times Woodland Adventures with your requirements.

Start and Finish

Your day will start at 10:00am at River Medway Canoes Base (Wateringbury) and finish at 16:00.

What to Wear

Please wear clothes for the predicted weather conditions. You should also wear clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy, wet and that will smell of smoke at the end of the day. Bring spare clothes to change into if required.

What to eat  

Please bring a packed lunch for the day. We will also provide a selection of savoury and sweet snacks along with tea & coffee.

Minimum Age

Our minimum age is 8 years old due to the nature of the activities.

What we provide

We will provide all the specialist equipment and tuition for canoeing and bush craft, which includes buoyancy aids and drybags for your belongings.

Price

  • £45 per adult (must be accompanied by a child)

  • £35 per Child (up to the age of 18)
